The young Wales winger has caught the eye during pre-season, with one specific achievement reportedly ‘stunning’ his Red Devils team-mates
Manchester United new boy Daniel James has already made an impression on his team-mates after coming out on top in a number of pre-season fitness tests.
James, 21, was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing as Man United manager, arriving from Swansea last month in a deal worth a reported £18million.
And he’s been working hard to try and impress his new coach, according to reports.
Allegedly, prior to reporting for his first pre-season with his new club, James worked with a fitness specialist team in Dubai to make sure he was well prepared for the demands of being a United player.
And his solo work has paid off, The Sun claim, with James ‘stunning’ United chiefs and his new team-mates on the training field.
An Old Trafford source said: “The word from Carrington is very encouraging on young James.

“He is clearly ahead of the game. He has topped all the early fitness charts. Ole was impressed with seeing him doing his own work.
“He came out top in the sprints, even the short ones, by a good margin of five or so yards.
“He did one fifty metre sprint that left team-mates five metres behind him and also maxing out the bleep test.”
James is part of Solskjaer’s squad that has travelled to Australia for their pre-season tour.
The United manager is said to be impressed with how James has used his initiative, and last week said of the Wales international: “Daniel has already set the marker and the standard on work-rate and attitude in training.
“Whoever you’re going to speak to later on, if you ask about him then it’s been a delight to see.”
James could make his United debut when the Red Devils begin their pre-season fixtures with a clash against Perth Glory on Saturday.
