Said Benrahma’s deadline day transfer to West Ham is in doubt as the Brentford forward has had issues with his medical.
According to reports, Algeria international Benrahma had the start of his medical on Thursday and the second part on Friday, with as yet unconfirmed problems discovered.
But sources close to the player have told The Athletic that Benhrama will shortly become a West Ham player, with the 25-year-old neither passing nor failing the medical.
Benrahma is due to join the Hammers in a deal worth up to £30million, with Brentford receiving £25m immediately and a further £5m is payable should certain conditions be met.
He is set to become West Ham’s fourth signing of the summer, after the permanent arrival of former loan star Tomas Soucek, while Vladimir Coufal and Craig Dawson also completed moves to the London Stadium.

He could still sign for West Ham with the east Londoners continuing to work on the deal, but serious doubts have now been raised.
David Moyes will hope to get the transfer over the line before today’s 5pm deadline as the talented No.10 dazzled in the Championship last season, with his tricks and skills complemented by his output in front of goal and his ability to create chances.
He earned the nickname ‘The Algerian Messi’ as the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal registered an interest, while one Brentford coach said Benrahma could even ‘nutmeg a mermaid’!
West Ham have also been linked with a deadline day swoop for Josh King, the Bournemouth forward, but this deal is not expected to go through before the domestic window closes later today.
